The Route creation module is the most extensive and important of SimpliRoute. This is the module you see by default each times you initiate a session and this is where the magic of SimpliRoute happens.
To enter it, click on the Route button on the left bar.
The Route creation module is divided in 3 steps. In each place you will have to enter the minimum information necessary to go to the next one. Don't worry, a large flow of routes should not take you more than 15 minutes of work.
The 3 steps are called Vehicles, Visits and Routes. In the top right hand corner you will see every time the icons of the 3 steps and they will be completed while you will be progressing.
You can click on any of these 3 buttons if you need to go back or go to the next step. A tick will appear in the buttons which represent the steps completed with enough information to continue.
What you will have to do for every step:
- Step 1 - Vehicles - You will enter your fleet information, the hours when will go out your vehicles and what will be the ones to complete the routes of the day.
- Step 2 - Visits - You will load the address list you will have to visit in your routes. You will be able to do it one per one on the interface, loading an Excel file or via integration with other systems. More information en Import visits.
- Step 3 - Routes - You will see the optimization results and the suggested routes by the system. You will be able to edit and do the changes you need so as to next assign the routes to your conductors in their mobile applications. For more information about this you can visit the Optimization results section.
Make sure to have created vehicles and conductors before beginning. Check this Quick guide for vehicle and user creation if you have difficulties understanding it.
